Mission Statement

I believe that all people have a natural ability to understand and appreciate the world of music.  As a music teacher, it is my duty to inspire and foster this natural capability.   Music is a necessary part of life and children need a safe place to learn how to express themselves through music.  I believe this to be as important as learning to read, write, add and subtract.

It is my goal to offer music lessons for children to grow their inherent musical abilities.  This cannot be done without the support of all the important people in their lives.   The relationship between student, teacher and parents is essential to the success of these music lessons.   With the help of all of us, the student will develop discipline, sensitivity, ability to focus, ability to analyze and solve problems, in addition to making and enjoying music.

All students are individuals.  For this reason, I will adjust my teaching style to address those unique needs and abilities of each student.  This will be accomplished through the student and myself enjoying the never-ending journey of learning what exact method and repertoire will make for a successful experience.

Thank you in advance for allowing me to introduce you or your child to the infinite possibilities we all can find in music.
